Dicen que hay apodos que te marcan para toda la vida, pregúntenmelo a mí… o tal vez podríamos preguntárselo a Rat Boy a.k.a. Jordan Cardy, quién justamente fue apodado como el “niño rata” o Rat Boy por sus compañeros de escuela cuando iba en la secundaria.
Diagnosticado con dislexia y despedido de un pub, Rat Boy decidió probar suerte, crear su mixtape y treparlo a Soundcloud, en donde llegaría a los oídos del otrora bajista de Babyshambles, Drew McConnell.
Experto en crear sus propias bases rítmicas a partir de sonidos de la vida cotidiana y otros instrumentos, Ratboy fue comparado rápidamente con personajes que pavimentaron el camino del hip-rock británico, como Jamie T o The Streets, y en cuestión de meses su trabajo terminó por ser sampleado por figuras como Kendrick Lamar, quién tomó prestada una frase de “Knock Knock Knock” para completar “LUST” de su aclamado DAMN.

“Revolution” es una canción grabada en los Oscilloscope studios (de los Beastie Boys) en Nueva York. Representa la distopía que vivimos en el mundo y podría ser considerado, tal vez, como uno de los primeros himnos Post Brexit del Reino Unido.
