Se dieron a conocer las nominaciones a los Globos de Oro en su edición 2012, que se entregaran en una gala el próximo 15 de enero en Los Ángeles. La película The Artist, lidera las listas con seis nominaciones, mientras que La piel que habito, de Pedro Almodóvar, competirá para mejor película extranjera.

The Descendants, The Help, Hugo, War Horse, Moneyball y Ides of March

competirán por el galardón a la Mejor Película.

En la categoría de mejor actor destacan George Clooney, Brad Pitt y Leonardo DiCaprio. Mientras que como mejor actriz de drama figuran Glenn Close, Meryl Streep (quien tiene su nominación número 25) y Rooney Mara.

En el rubro televisivo destacan las series Modern Family, Homeland y American Horror Story. Modern Family consiguió tres nominaciones: mejor comedia, mejor actriz secundaria (Sofía Vegara) y mejor actor secundario (Eric Stonestreet).
