Para armar su lista, los editores no se fijaron únicamente en los méritos musicales de cada disco, también en la presentación del paquete en lo general, como el diseño, el arte de portada, el contenido informativo, y otros aspectos que puedan ser de interés para un coleccionista. Por lo tanto, la lista no sólo incluye discos nuevos, también hay box sets, rarezas, antologías, soundtracks, etc… De todo un poco.
